Privacy Policy

2. Data we process

We process account and session data, workspace membership, connected-platform identifiers and tokens, profile or channel information, video metadata, performance metrics, measurement points, screenshots or context supplied by users, subscription status, support messages and limited technical security and error logs.

We receive this information directly from users, from people they authorise in a workspace, from connected platform providers, and from billing or support providers involved in the requested service. We do not buy social-media profile data from data brokers.

3. Why we process data

Data is used to provide secure accounts and private workspaces, connect platforms at the user's request, retrieve and compare video performance, produce requested analyses, manage subscriptions, answer support requests, prevent abuse and maintain the service. Processing is based on contract performance, legitimate interests, legal obligations or consent, as applicable.

4. Social-platform connections

Users may choose to connect Instagram/Meta, Facebook, YouTube/Google or TikTok. ClipDelta then processes the authorisation token and the account, video and performance data available under the approved read-only permissions. ClipDelta does not sell this data and does not use a connected account to post, edit or delete platform content. Access can be revoked in ClipDelta or through the platform provider.

5. AI-assisted analysis

For AI features explicitly requested by a user, the necessary selected text, image, screenshot or context may be sent to OpenAI to generate the requested result. ClipDelta stores the result and required usage records in the user's workspace. AI output is not used for decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.

Google and YouTube user data

When you authorise the YouTube connection, ClipDelta accesses Google/YouTube data only within the permissions you grant: channel identifiers and profile information, video identifiers, titles, publication dates and other metadata, and available performance statistics. Access and refresh tokens allow our server to retrieve this data for your connected channel. We use it to display your video library, capture actual performance measurements and provide the comparisons and analyses you request in your workspace.

Who receives Google user data, and why

ClipDelta shares, transfers or discloses Google user data only to the recipients listed below, only for the stated purpose of providing the user-facing ClipDelta service, and only where the relevant data is necessary for that purpose.

• Render — application hosting: our application running on Render processes Google authorisation tokens, channel/video information and performance data to communicate with Google APIs and deliver ClipDelta. Limited operational logs can contain internal workspace, account and publication identifiers and error codes.
• Supabase — authentication and database services: stores the connected channel identifiers, server-side credentials, selected video metadata, measurements and analysis results, associated with your ClipDelta account and workspace. This makes the authorised connection and measurement history available across sessions.
• OpenAI — only for an AI feature you explicitly request: receives the image and text context you select for that request. If you include YouTube-derived information in that input, that selected information is also sent to OpenAI to produce the requested analysis. The automatic YouTube library and scheduled measurement workflows do not send their Google API responses or OAuth tokens to OpenAI. The current AI request uses the API with response storage disabled; this is not a promise that the provider has no security or abuse-monitoring retention.
• Infomaniak — support email: if you send Google/YouTube information to support@clipdelta.app, Infomaniak processes that message and its attachments so we can answer your request. Our automatic YouTube import does not send its API data or credentials to the support mailbox.
• People you authorise in your workspace: may see its video information, measurements and analysis results according to their workspace permissions. OAuth credentials are not displayed as analytics to workspace users.

Lemon Squeezy receives checkout and subscription information for billing, not your connected Google channel library, YouTube performance history or Google OAuth tokens through that billing workflow. FunnelCockpit is used for marketing pages; the current YouTube import and measurement workflows do not transfer Google API data to it. Google itself receives the authorised API requests and processes them under its own terms and Privacy Policy.

Limits on use, disclosure and human access

ClipDelta does not sell Google user data, use it for advertising or credit decisions, or use it to train general-purpose AI or machine-learning models. We transfer it only as needed to provide the user-facing service described above, with your authorisation, or when required for security or compliance with applicable law. We do not permit our service providers to use Google user data for unrelated purposes. Human access is limited to your authorisation for specific support, necessary security investigation, or compliance with applicable law; we do not routinely inspect private channel data.

ClipDelta's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Revoke access or request deletion

You can revoke ClipDelta's access through your Google Account connections. Revocation prevents further authorised retrieval; it does not by itself delete measurements already stored in ClipDelta. To request deletion of the connection, its credentials or stored Google/YouTube data, contact support@clipdelta.app. We verify the request and remove data that is no longer needed, subject to applicable legal obligations and backup retention. Do not send passwords or OAuth tokens by email.

6. Service providers

ClipDelta uses Supabase for authentication and database services, Render for hosting, Infomaniak for domain and email services, OpenAI for requested AI functions, FunnelCockpit for marketing pages, and Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record for paid subscriptions. When a platform is connected, its provider also processes data under its own privacy policy.

7. Sessions, local storage and limited measurement

ClipDelta uses technically necessary browser storage and cookies for authentication, security, the selected workspace, language and requested interface functions. Session storage may keep a temporary onboarding state, a selected comparison item, and a pseudonymous attribution or session identifier when a recognised ClipDelta campaign link is used. In that case we may record the page path, session start, page view and selected ClipDelta call-to-action identifier. We do not use this information to build a cross-site advertising profile and do not sell or share it for targeted advertising. Browser storage can be cleared through the browser; removing necessary session data may sign the user out or reset interface choices.

8. International transfers

Providers may process data in Switzerland, the EEA, the United States or other countries. Where an adequate level of protection is not recognised, we use a lawful transfer mechanism where required, such as applicable standard contractual clauses, or another permitted basis, together with supplementary safeguards where appropriate. Users can request information about the safeguard relevant to their data by contacting us. We do not sell personal data.

9. Retention and security

Account, workspace and connected-platform data is kept while needed to provide the account and requested service. Credentials are kept until the connection is revoked, replaced or deleted. Billing, security, support and dispute records may be retained longer where needed for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention or claim-handling duties. Deletion requests remove data from active systems when no longer required; encrypted or otherwise protected backups may expire later under their rotation cycle and are not restored for ordinary use. We use encrypted transmission, access controls, private workspaces and separation of user and workspace data. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

10. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, users may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection, and may withdraw consent. Requests can be sent to support@clipdelta.app. We may request reasonable proof of identity. Users may also contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner or another competent supervisory authority.

11. Children

ClipDelta is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly offer an account to a person under 18. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us so that we can investigate and take appropriate action.

12. Updates

This policy may be updated when functions, providers or legal requirements change. The current version published on clipdelta.app applies.
